After months of preparation, an idea that first started over four years ago came to fruition this week.
Crisp County made history by hosting the first-ever Crisp County Market Lamb & Goat Show at the JW Mann Showbarn on October 6.
The event took place at the Cordele Lions Club Fairgrounds.
Several organizations took part in making this inaugural event come to life, including CCMS and CCHS FFA, 4-H, and pre-club students.
These students have spent months feeding, training, and caring for their livestock projects, dedicating countless hours to their care.
CCMS Ag Instructor and Program Advisor Jess McGuinty, along with CCHS Ag Instructor and Young Farmer Advisor Jesse Kelly, managed the event.
Nine different exhibitors showed over twenty heads of sheep.
Congratulations to all the winners and those participants for making this a success!
