Beginning April 19th the Crisp County Middle School cafeteria will begin serving same samples of our new salad lettuce in order to get used to preparing and serving it. Please give the servers and kitchen staff feedback when trying this lettuce. I found it to be a softer mild tasting lettuce when compared to romaine lettuce. Starting on April 26th we will have this a our lettuce source through out the district.
This is the lettuce we are getting from Trinity Farms Aquaponics in Rebecca, Ga. It is locally grown and grown without the use of any herbicides or pesticides. We sure hope you will enjoy this lettuce!
